Litigation/Arbitration/Mediation A core of our firm's practice is commercial litigation and arbitration. We have represented clients in simple and complex disputes in many areas of law including securities, franchising, intellectual property, employment and real estate. We have represented both corporations and individuals in a wide variety of contract and commercial disputes. We have represented inventors and licensors in protecting their intellectual property. We have represented both majority and minority shareholders in disputes concerning closely held corporations. Our highly experienced litigation group has the ability to handle cases across the entire spectrum of legal matters. We understand that the keys to success in any litigation are preparation, preparation and preparation. That is one of the reasons for our success in this area. We also have extensive experience in representing primary, master and special servicers of commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS). In addition to enforcing the terms of the loan documents for special servicers through foreclosure and other enforcement proceedings, we have helped enforce the rights of REMIC Trusts against originators of loans and depositors of mortgages into the Trust. Having worked in the CMBS area for more than twelve years, our in-depth knowledge of issues unique to this industry, such as yield maintenance and defeasance, makes us well-qualified to handle all of our clients' CMBS needs. > Back to Practice Areas |
